People are always rightly pointing out that Warhammer contributes more to the British economy than the fishing industry, but the problem is that there just aren't very many folk songs about Warhammer

No unfortunately

Would be funny if 'Mao but a teenaged girl' was also yuri

(Although good reform would obvi require more funding, etc etc)

I'm ngl, a lot of my public education in the US was based around regurgitation of information & techniques for taking standardized tests. There was a tiny, tiny bit dedicated to media literacy, but it's not prominent. Reform is more important than more funding, imo.

It's me! I'm so excited to be a part of Shoebox, and want to bring everyone a bunch of well-run "weird format" events that I love deeply.

Here at Shoebox, we 💖 our judges! 👨‍⚖️👩‍⚖️
Rob and his team will be working hard all weekend to keep those events rollin' and stacks resolvin', so lets give a warm welcome to @judgerob.bsky.social as our Event Manager!
A colorful graphic with the text:
"Meet the Shoebox team: Rob - Events Manager.
Rob McKenzie has been judging events since 2004, and has worked events of every scope and type, from Pro Tours to CubeCons to GenCon to local draft events.
Rob records with Good Luck High Five and Commander Arcade, and is on the Judge Foundry Board of Directors."

The bottom banner reads:
"Shoebox, St. Paul Minnesota. March 13-15th. Shoebox.gg"

I read Dorian Gray at 14 purely b/c of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Those, sure, are terrible suggestions. What about Pratchett or Vonnegut?

That's what I assumed, but I never worked in theater, and figured it was possible some fucking private equity firm had legal rights to it in America, or some dystopian shit like that.

Half the complaints I see about RF Kuang's work boil down to this

the protagonist isn't always the hero. they are just the person the book is about. sometimes authors write books about people who are bad and it does not mean that the author is bad
