Look, realistically the US had been a historical ally, but you don't need to be beholden to that. Times have changed - the fascist regime in power is incompatible with our way of life.

I know it's politically tricky, but please consider the will of the people, and tell Trump to fuck off.

One week back at school and my eldest has Flu A. This is after my youngest had it in August and then had RSV one month later in Sept. We have managed to avoid spread within our family but can do nothing about school. @vicgovau.bsky.social @VicGovDE this is not sustainable. Clean the air.

Incredible scenery and beautiful unique plants. #Australia
Amazing rock formations ( The Pinnacles) tall mogul like structures in orange dirt and rock, the sky is vivid clear blue with a line of white cloud at the horizon. No regular people , only tourist buses. Amazing huge red pink eucalyptus buds and fringe of bright pink gum blossom tipped with gold

Just so we’re clear: Labor is choosing to work with the worst possible party on environmental issues, instead of the Greens and teals who actually want environmental regulation.
And Watt is already admitting it won’t have a climate trigger …
Watt nears deal with Coalition to finally overhaul environment laws
Environment Minister Murray Watt will sit down with his Liberal counterpart Angie Bell today, with quiet optimism in both parties that a deal might soon be struck to finally rewrite Australia's "broke...

Been a while since I did some light reading and all this made a delightful change from the heavier tomes I have been deep inside

It doesn’t matter what you read though, just open a book and let it fill your head and your heart

Then delight or rage or question and enjoy every moment 😘

A bee flies right over a wasp as it is coming in for a taste of a goldenrod plant. The bee has pollen bags on it's legs.

Every time the government accepts money from the gambling industry, it increases its debts to companies whose business models are based on preying on young and vulnerable people, and doing them harm.

The Albanese government does this again and again.

Australia has one of the worst extinction records on Earth — and Labor’s doing a deal with the Coalition to overhaul nature laws.

Labor can’t protect nature while protecting polluters.

“Monied interests” “public integrity” = oxymoron
menoplausible.bsky.social
“But the Centre for Public Integrity’s executive director, Catherine Williams, said the club offered “an invaluable opportunity for monied interests to build relationships with members of parliament and their staff”.
Why so important that ‘monied interests’ get that opportunity? How do WE get it?
