look, I'm not going to claim lots of description is AUTOMATICALLY good - I did not finish LOTR for a reason, I get it - but the idea that description is IN ITSELF a blight on writing is so... sad. Pitiable. Description is an invitation to reflect on our senses, be in the moment. Y'know... IMMERSION.

it's hard to re-enter a community you had to leave for a few years, especially a different side of it (ie, I used to not be welcome in gay male spaces but now I am), but I miss it, I miss it, I miss being seeped in leather culture with my heart and soul, I cannot stay away any longer.

went to northside bizarre for a bit, chatted with some people, bought a nice chain gadget from the leather and treasure, went to eagle leather after and bought a couple more little things. a nice easy day.
