Our border must be secure. Criminals must be deported. But immigrants add to our communities and I don’t see why the ones who are already here can’t stay. They have built a life here and contribute to their communities. They add so much. We are fortunate to have them here.

Immigrants are terrified because of this approach and fear is palpable and contagious. If ICE treated people with humanity, everything would be better. Not perfect, not even good, but not this horror show day after day.

I used to be a cops reporter. I did a ride-along with a man who turned out to be the best officer I’ve seen. An expert at de-escalation. Communication skills were excellent, type B personality. His respectful approach kept tensions down. Of course, it won’t always work but most of the time, it will.

I hate how Cheryl Hines is being asked to explain her husband RFK Jr.’s thoughts and actions on her book tour. I understand why interviewers ask but husbands and wives are two separate people. She doesn’t control her husband, so why is she answering for his terrible behavior? Makes no sense.

If you care about keeping health insurance affordable for those who must purchase it on the exchange, call your congressperson’s office. Staffers are still doing unpaid work in DC while House members are getting a paid vacation. Would be nice to see more hold town halls in their districts.

Hard to believe Diane Keaton has passed away. These are my favorite roles of hers, and also two of my all-time favorite movies that I first watched as a kid and have rewatched countless times since. She was versatile as an actor, and her fashion sense pushed women's fashion forward. An icon.

OSHA “fined the company $7,200, after a 2019 inspection found violations related to personal protective equipment, employee exposure to contaminants and inadequate safety training, among other citations.”
