I really want to write a fic where Aizawa hits some milestone age like 40 or 50 and has a minor crisis, and basically spends the day taking inventory of his life and choices. 50 might be a good one, which makes Shinsou 34 or 35. Also potential for hilarity.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Buses are the main way people get around the massive borough of the Bronx, especially from east to west, unless you happen to live off a train stop and you're going north and south. My daily commute is a bus.

Buses are how more than a million New Yorkers get to work, school, job interviews and appointments.

Especially in outerborough neighborhoods with no subway service, they're a lifeline.

And today, 1 in 5 New Yorkers struggle to afford the fare. It doesn't need to be this way.

Also the majority of the population are younger people. I read it's one of the youngest enclaves in the world in terms of age demographics within a place. I'm also curious how that factors in. If anyone knows of factual info or writings about these questions, lmk because I'd like to read more.

I always wonder what everyday people in Palestine think about Hama*s. I read that they were more popular than the PLO because (apparently?) the PLO doesn't do much to protect and assert Palestinians' rights. (Not sure if that's accurate.) But I wonder what the popular "ideal" govt would be.

My statement on the two year anniversary of October 7, 2023.

“Two years ago today, Hamas carried out a horrific war crime, killing more than 1,100 Israelis and kidnapping 250 more. I mourn these lives and pray for the safe return of every hostage still held and for every family whose lives were torn apart by these atrocities.

In the aftermath of that day, Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Israeli government launched a genocidal war: adeath toll that now far exceeds 67,000; with the Israeli military bombing homes, hospitals, and schools into rubble. Every day in Gaza has become a place where grief itself has run out of language. I mourn these lives and pray for the families that have been shattered. Our government has been complicit through it all.

This must end. The occupation and apartheid must end. Peace must be pursued through diplomacy, not war crimes, and our government must act to end these atrocities and hold those responsible to account.

These last two years have demonstrated the very worst of humanity. We must answer it by modeling the very best: a relentless pursuit of our higher ideals and an unwavering commitment to universal human rights.”

Just saw a clip that someone filmed in Chicago of two 🧊 thugs trying to abduct a guy in broad daylight. They grabbed him & had zipties out but then a bunch of bystanders intervened until 🧊 got back in their gestapo mobile and zoomed off.

That's the kind energy we need in this fucked up country.

We have seen too many cases of
1. Highly educated folk starting to believe LLMs are sentient.
2. Folk with no prior mental health issues becoming delusional.
3. Prrofessionals becoming reliant on it to do things they could do better.
