Yes. I would expect lawsuits immediately. There are clear rules for RIFs, and this seemingly violates all of them.

Thank a federal worker, though - a good chunk of them are working without pay, even more of them are wondering if they’ll have to fight to even HAVE a job. Morale sucks right now.

Miller seethes when people make fun of him online, so I do think ridiculing him is impactful.

Better, though, would be to start calling him President Miller and telling folks he’s really in charge - that’ll drive Trump nuts.

My friend just called, he’s putting me off until Monday but he has a pretty good reason: he was on the way to the ER because he said he had a transmission get away from him earlier and he thinks he might have broken his hand. Hopefully everything is alright with him and my brakes aren’t that urgent.

Like me and my groundhog. I haven’t seen him since I told you about him, but they’re all over the place here so it’s just a matter of time. I did see another critter at the river today, but I’m not sure about your attitude toward snakes so I wasn’t going to just post it.

Democratic Whip Notice: The House GOP Leadership have made the following change to the House Floor schedule:

Members are advised that votes are no longer expected in the House on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Pending Senate action on FY26 Funding, Members will receive 48 hours' notice prior to any potential votes in the House. Further information regarding the Floor schedule will be provided as soon as it becomes available.

This is a change from the House GOP Leadership's previously announced schedule.
