All phenomena are fleeting. He/him. For those who don't know me from other social media sites: Waffles (Waf) is the name of our dog, not the name of my husband. [Update: Waf was. Marlowe is now our dog's name, not my husband's. Waf is now a name for love.]

If I recall, it was intended to be a murder mystery, and--okay a lot of stuff happened between then and when Manhattan Murder Mystery was filmed but!--Annie Hall was essentially Manhattan Murder Mystery edited down.

I know if he wins, Mamdani is gonna break my heart. But he gives me some hope, and he allows some focus on what we can manage if we do the work to accomplish it.

I... did not listen to Harmontown, I'll admit. Maron was good at interviewing and chose great guests. Mark Harmon had his own podcast?! (Kidding.)

I'm genuinely gonna miss listening to this show. Sure, I'd always skip the first 20 minutes, and I'm still hoping Boomer is out there somewhere.

My parents will be so relieved to know I've finally gotten to the age where I have no fucking clue what I'm talking about either.

I remain disappointed, but when I watched it a second time I felt they had good intentions and were trying to honor the story. It's off, but it's not like they massacred it entirely.

It had been in development for decades. If I recall, he absolutely participated and they kept some of his notes and dialogue. The movie isn't my favorite take on the story, but it's also... okay.

And I gotta admit her first pregnancy was my favorite. Around season 2 I think. The producers apparently decided to dress her up like Orson Welles in A Touch of Evil.

Also kinda finding it funny this person may have watched X Files for decades convinced Gillian Anderson got pregnant every other season.

Obama got the prize bc the world sees the US differently than the US sees itself: when a POC finally made it to the White House--and after GWB--they thought that was something to note. It was a gold star given to the US, not to Obama. They sadly didn't know his winning would make us worse.

The thing I love about this thing is how Adams let it be organic. The first radio series is different from the book, and the book is different from the TV show, and the subsequent radio series' are different from the subsequent book sequels, and the movie is different from ALL that and on and on.

While Vought traces the “leftwing revolution” back a hundred years, to the progressive era, there is no question that the election of Barack Obama was a radicalizing moment for him and many key thinkers on the radical Right - as were the multiracial protests in the summer of 2020.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.
