I'm still kind of reeling from Scotland's win against Greece last night. I've never seen a mugging in football like it, particularly that 3rd goal. Sheer comedy, but the joke not on us for once. Greece now probably out of contention for the WC, despite being a much better footballing side than us.

Polanski's most important contribution so far has simply been getting this topic on the agenda and turning national dissatisfaction away from the blameless scapegoats other parties rely upon. Unchecked super-wealth is the issue. It's why things are shit. And now we're finally talking about it.

Good framing, however you feel about the accuracy. Super-wealth is the prime destabilising factor in our society. If you consider strong representative democracy to be a patriotic principle, the power of a tiny unelected ultra-class controlling most assets, media and Gov policy must be tackled.

You can pretty much guarantee that anyone saying "AI is here to stay" has a deal with an AI company of some kind. No-one with any belief in art (or indeed reality) believes this. I look forward to all these bozos being financially ruined when the clown car runs out of gas. Which will be soon.
