The media using "captured" to describe what happened to Maduro is really strange. He is the sitting president of the country, not a fugitive!

guy: And what did Trump used to say, folks?
crowd (absolutely rabid): THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!!!!

that the Whos celebrate Christmas suggests some knowledge of Christ, but whether this is our anthropic Christ or a distinctive Who-Christ remains obscure; some have argued Christianity was introduced to them during their refuge with Horton, which of course turns us to the matter of Elephant Religion

Can’t believe Griffin Newman got to “fire AND ash? in this economy??” before me. I’ve lived too long at the top of the game. I’m losing my touch.

When @danhf.bsky.social shared with me his idea for a special issue on The Dark Fantastic, I was surprised, honored & (truly) shy about it all.

My dear colleagues @srtoliver.bsky.social & @autumnadia.bsky.social have curated an incredible issue here. Grateful to SR, Autumn, Dan, Gerry & SFFTV! 🖤✨🎬
SFFTV 18.3 (a special issue on the Dark Fantastic guest-edited by S.R. Toliver and Autumn A. Griffin) is now live! This is a special one (including SFFTV's first venture into creative praxis).

I’ve recommend the “Jackson cut” of Fellowship; TTT ch 1 completes the FOTR thought and chapter 2 starts TTT proper. I found something in the letters or in HoME that confirmed even Tolkien thought it was better than way (no citation provided).

Thanks also of course to @ebonyteach.blacksky.app whose terrific book inspired this collection.

This has been in the works a really long time; I wanted to give a special shout-out to @danhf.bsky.social for all his did in helping this one to come to fruition even though it landed after he officially left the journal.
