I have two children under SpEd (one with 504, one with an IEP) and there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to fight for them to have access to every single bit of support they’re entitled to at school. Special Education is not a partisan issue. This is ghoulish.

There are reports that the *entire* office of special education at the US Dept of Education has been cut. These hardworking folks ensure kids with disabilities get equal access to a quality education.

America’s children deserve better than this.

All you peacenik liberals wringing hands over what to do: Yes, of course, vote. It's your primary responsibility as a citizen.

But now more than ever, fulfill your second civic responsibility: Serve on juries. Never has it been more imperative to thwart rogue injustice.

While providing tech support for my FIL:

FIL: What's that screen?

ME: The terminal. You should never use it.

FIL: Never?

ME: So you know how I'm allowed to watch you open the electrical panel and swap out breakers, but I'm not allowed to ever open up it myself?

FIL: Ah! I understand, thank you.

None of them. Of all the infinite universes in the multiverse, Johnny Cash’s coolness has been a constant—the only constant.

Since when has the Wall Street Journal been accepted as an arbiter of coolness?

Compared to Dylan and Springsteen, country-music legend Johnny Cash can seem deeply uncool. It took time for me to appreciate his profound, plainspoken strength, writes Jon Fasman.

It’s easy to love that Dick. It takes effort to love the one I showed.

And Word has tools to make one, but they’re arcane.

It lists all of the sources you cited in alphabetical order. First by cases, then statutes, then regulations and treatises….

Okay. Tables of Authorities suck. I can understand having problems getting one down in time for a filing.

But this is the Table of Contents. It’s the easiest thing in the world to do in Word.

Having recently discovered (with all the intensity ADHD offers) Colm R. McGuinness' awesome 40k songs , I couldn't help but wonder if @robertrath.bsky.social has heard "One of the Martyrs," the song dedicated to the Cadian Guard.

Some days it’s an airbrush problem. Some days it’s a primer problem.

Don’t forget to troubleshoot both….

I’m not autistic, just a parent to an autistic kid w/ fairly significant support needs, but I personally find it very frustrating to see so many people fixated on preventing, reducing, or “curing” autism and neurodiversity instead of talking about inclusion + getting folks whatever support they need
