Vampire is available to adopt in LA or Orange County!

2 weeks ago I found a small kitten trapped in the middle of a busy intersection. Now she's 6 weeks and ready to find her forever home.

Adoption application available on VIDA. Dm if you have questions about her! www.petfinder.com/cat/vampire-...

Hey all I really need to adopt her out.

Taking care of her is starting to cut into the money I have saved for rent.

I'm on the verge of ditching the rescue's application process just to get her out of my house sooner. If you can please help please share!

I found this a really illuminating thread on what demonstrations do and why they matter.
In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.
Stay on Bluesky long enough and slowly it will be revealed to you that 90% of the people you are following (strangers included) are from Minneapolis
That’s understandable! I hope you have a great turnout!
Is there a viewing option for people outside VA?
I get it. If someone fixated on my late great kitty they would have hell to pay. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
So bizarre. I follow a lot of news accounts on here and scrolling can be a bit…grim…so I just wanted to let you know your account is one of my highlights! ❤️

Hey y’all- a great, small rescue in Austin can use some help. They’re trying to get a badly injured kitten from the border up to Austin. If you’ve got a few bucks to add, that would be huge.

These are just some of the thousands of people in 100 countries we discovered were targeted by phone-tracking tech sold by a secretive firm called First Wap.

Pretty sure that when you have giant frogs everywhere, God is very disappointed in how you are treating immigrants.
Things are happening at Portland's ICE facility tonight.

New pope slaps 🔥
For the uninitiated: The pope being this direct and explicit to U.S. bishops about how to respond to a domestic policy happening in real time is…unusual.
Pope Leo told U.S. bishops visiting him at the Vatican on Wednesday that they should firmly address how immigrants are being treated by President Donald Trump's hardline policies, attendees said, in the latest push by the pontiff on the issue. For @reuters.com:

Hello. I’m your dying neighbor on this very same hill
It’s one of my favorites, too! For me, it has that sense of wonder and delight I experienced so much more when reading or seeing movies as a kid/teen. I will resign myself to the lack of haunted house but will eagerly watch this.
