Body cameras aren’t a universal fix. But they will add a long term layer of accountability. Notice that once Chicago area agents were mandated to use body cams, they pulled the bulk of the agents out

-restricts ICE to spending $3.8 billion of its annual budget
on detention as opposed to being able to spend $10 billion

Karl Rove has been on the news recently saying that Trump is losing Hispanic voters in Texas for a similar reason. These voters were critical in 2024.
Republicans have made a documented effort to mislead these communities with well funded, highly localized Spanish language propaganda campaigns in recent years, which, as is usually the case when mainstream reporters try to tease out a segment of the electorate's thinking, simply isn't mentioned
