Okay, so he’s garbling this but there’s an issue with how hospice is used nationally. Because private equity has bought up so many of these companies, there is a push to get family members on hospice. Traditionally hospice kicks in when you’re looking at a few months max. 1/
Dr Oz makes stuff up: "The survival rate for hospice in California if you're one of these fraudulent centers is 100%. No one is dying. I mean, there's a higher death rate on this set in Davos. Everyone lives. So we obviously are going to go after that."

There's a terrific MA or Ph.D. thesis to be written comparing the tactics, strategy, and ideology of 1970s US Christian conservative pivot to abortion after segregation was lost, and the 2010s/2020s pivot to transphobia after equal marriage was won.
Historically, this is exactly how ending abortion became a major issue. Christian Nationalists decided to make it one when it wasn’t one and as per their plan, it developed a life of its own. Most activists in the movement never know it was designed to organize them. bsky.app/profile/spar...
I'm used to seeing this work starting with or soley on an anti-abortion stance.
