Hi consider this an official SchildkrötKäfer lore post that I’ll probably delete later 👍

A kaiju based on both a turtle and a bug. There are 3 depictions of the Kaiju and a picture of a normal turtle for color reference.
The image on the top left shows more of the front to the Kaiju, depicting it with a visible heart. The bottom left features the Kaiju as small with text that reads “Early Nymph stage.” To the right of both of these is the Kaiju standing facing left.

SchildkrötKafer starts out very small in the nymphal stage, this is when they emerge from the earth to look for a human to feed off of their emotions (often but not always they'll typically go with just one human and latch to them specifically)
In their nymphal stage they do have a radius they have to be in for them to feed off of their humans emotions. They also tend to gravitate to people who are obviously more vulnerable.
In adult stages SchildkrötKäfer grows rather large rather fast, they no longer need a radius to feed off their humans emotions, and they also feed off a heavier amount of emotions.
SchildkrötKäfer has the ability to manipulate their humans emotions during this time too.
They can cause hallucinations for the human they've latched too (but also have minor manipulation to other humans as well)
The exposed hard is behind a hard near impenetrable crystal dome on their chest. It

Humans show more symptoms of this in later stages btw.
-nose bleeds (quite a bit of bleeding tbh)
-feeling sick, tired, etc
-more pale from lack of energy and also sickness
-depressive episodes
-sometimes loss of consciousness
Even though it takes from emotions it does have a physical toll on people.
