BC will drive the Canadian economy at a time when it's under attack by Trump and those who echo his message here.

If Canada wants to grow its economy, the answer is simple: look west to British Columbia.

That's where we're building a path to prosperity for all Canadians.🍁

Congratulations to the Upper Room Mission on the opening of the 24-bed winter shelter space!

This means 10,000 safe nights of sleep each year for those in our community who need it most.

My heart is full seeing the kindness and generosity in our community 🧡

Upper Room Mission's large, bright dormitory-style shelter room with rows of neatly made single beds featuring grey sheets, folded light blue blankets, and small beige pillows. The walls are light grey with a green accent wall at the far end, and natural light pours in through several windows. The clean, orderly space feels calm and welcoming, suggesting readiness to provide safe rest for many people. Amy Klassen at a podium giving a speech at a microphone, smiling as she speaks from behind a laptop on a podium. Behind her, a presentation screen displays the words “Upper Room Mission – A Place of Belonging & Hope” alongside an image of a man being helped up. The setting is warm and welcoming, with green walls, a bookshelf filled with puzzles and games, and a potted plant adding a homey touch. Vernon Mayor Victor Cumming stands in a doorway smiling and holding large ceremonial scissors, having just cut a red ribbon tied across the doorframe. The scene captures the moment of a ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the official opening the 24-bed winter shelter.

We know communities are feeling the impact of global economic uncertainty and big challenges.

Despite these pressures, B.C.'s economy remains resilient. In Sept:

✅Employment up 7,800
✅48,600 jobs gained yr/yr
✅25,000 private sector jobs, leading all provinces

Let’s be clear about what Alberta is proposing:

BC loses billions of dollars of major projects from private investors.

AND Canadian taxpayers are forced to pay billions more because there is no interest from a private company.

That’s not fair. And fairness is a Canadian value.

For too long, vape & e-cigarette manufacturers have used deceptive marketing to maximize profits at the expense of people’s health. Today’s announcement on our first-of-its-kind legislation will make it possible for us to take legal action against bad-faith actors to recover public health costs.

BC has billions in shovel-ready projects ready to go.

Instead of real jobs for our province, the BC Conservatives are standing up for themselves, infighting and Alberta politics.

We’ll continue to ignore the noise and deliver for this province and country.

Proud to stand with those defending equality and reproductive rights.

Every person deserves the freedom to make their own choices about their body, their family, and their future, free from political or religious interference.

We can’t go backward. Not now, not ever.

We've fought long and hard for women's rights and the right to choose.

We must continue to fight back against organizations like ARPA that align themselves with policies against same-sex marriage and the right to have an abortion.

BC is leading 🇨🇦 with major opportunities to deliver prosperity to all of Canada.

We have billions worth of private sector & First Nations led projects, that are ready to go and will create thousands of jobs.

Alberta’s fictional bitumen pipeline achieves none of these things.

After years of devastating crop losses caused by extreme weather, this season’s record-breaking cherry harvest is a hard-earned win for BC tree fruit farmers. Let's keep supporting growers in our communities as they recover and adapt to protect future harvests.

As British Columbians we love our coast and will always protect it.

The North Coast Tanker Ban also secures billions in shovel-ready projects.

We won’t let this proposal, with no backer and no money, threaten real jobs for BC’s families.

Tomorrow is #OrangeShirtDay

Our government will continue to work to address the colonial systems still in place that harm Indigenous Peoples.

We must honour survivors while remembering the children who never made it home.

Side-by-side photos of Premier David Eby and MLA Harwinder Sandhu wearing bright orange shirts designed by Okanagan Indian Band artist Faith Yow. The shirts feature two hands of different skin tones clasped together inside a circle, surrounded by teachings of the Four Food Chiefs: a bear, a berry cluster, corn, and salmon, along with a pink flower. BC's got game! There are over 140 video game companies in BC, and our video games industry directly employs more than 14,000 people. Increased tax credits and new grants for emerging studios are levelling up our tech sector.

My message at NYC Climate Week: Look to BC!

Our clean energy means we can produce the lowest carbon energy products anywhere in the world.

While clean tech is chased out of other places, they are welcomed in BC.

We are ready to do this work while bringing prosperity to BC and Canada.
