Let’s be clear about what Alberta is proposing:

BC loses billions of dollars of major projects from private investors.

AND Canadian taxpayers are forced to pay billions more because there is no interest from a private company.

That’s not fair. And fairness is a Canadian value.

Big news for B.C. families 💙

Today, I introduced legislation that will make it easier for school districts to offer #ChildCareOnSchoolGrounds — so parents can find quality care in the same safe, familiar places where their kids learn & grow.

We've fought long and hard for women's rights and the right to choose.

We must continue to fight back against organizations like ARPA that align themselves with policies against same-sex marriage and the right to have an abortion.

Today, we remember the children who never returned home from residential school. We stand with the survivors of these depraved institutions and the survivors of the intergenerational trauma that started within their walls.

• 660 new int'l trained docs registered to practise in BC, as of Jul 31
• 2,950 US healthcare professionals have expressed interest in working in BC since March

Broadcast news is essential to our democracy - holding leaders to account, shining a light on wrongdoings and work incredibly hard to deliver news.

During this era of misinformation we need more, not fewer people in news. To all those laid off today, my thoughts are with you.
