Me, taking a bathroom selfie with my cell phone in hand, and wearing a black T-shirt with Ghostface from SCREAM on it, and black sweatpants. (Because I would look like Winnie the Pooh if I just wore a T-shirt in this photo, and that would just be silly.)

We say goodbye to iconic actress Diane Keaton.

A true original of the silver screen, the Oscar-winning screen legend stole our hearts with her quirky charm and took our breath away with her bold choices as a searing dramatic actress.

Our thoughts are with her family and friends.

Diane Keaton in her Manhattan apartment with Buster, an Abyssinian, photographed by Jill Krementz in 1977
black & white photograph of young Diane Keaton smiling and standing next to a white refrigerator in a barren-looking kitchen. her cat Buster is crouched on top of the fridge playing with/swatting her hair in the upper right hand corner. she's wearing a long skinny white scarf with a dot-grid pattern, a high-neck white blouse with an ascot/kerchief around the neck, and a black blazer/skirt or blazer dress over what looks like a vest

The type of reach that would make even Reed Richards say "This is too much!"
courtenlow.bsky.social
I just feel like this is a reach.
First we had to watch a bunch of them mourn Charlie Kirk…even the ones we least suspected would.

Then, there’s this ongoing Taylor Swift fiasco.

Now, they’re mourning the passing of Diane Keaton.

I’m not the only one seeing this, right? Right?!

the ending of THE GODFATHER, the best american movie ever made, doesn't work without diane keaton's final look --- at the realization of who she's married and what her life is going to become and what corruption lurks behind closed doors. unforgettable, inimitable work. RIP.

Gene Hackman, Robert Redford and Diane Keaton all going in the same year. Absolute titans of '70s cinema

One of my favorite movies to watch and tweet about was BABY BOOM, and for that, I can thank my Twitter mutuals who sang its praises and made it very clear back in 2020 that my ass needed to finally watch BABY BOOM for the first time.
A tweet from Twitter user hellresidentNY that reads: "I can always count on my timeline to teach me something new and fascinating.

What I've recently learned: A lot of women that I follow #OnHere really like the film BABY BOOM."

Below the tweet is a photo of Diane Keaton holding a baby girl in her arms. A tweet from Twitter user hellresidentNY reads: "I haven't seen BABY BOOM, but one thing I remember about it is that it was one of many Eighties movies that got turned into short-lived sitcoms (along with WORKING GIRL, FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF, and DIRTY DANCING).

So I'll have to check this out & see what the fuss is about."

Below the tweet is a photo of Diane Keaton seated on the floor while holding a baby girl drinking from a bottle. A tweet ftom Twitter user hellresidentNY that reads: "Finally watched BABY BOOM, which was delightful to watch and I totally get why this film is so well-liked.

And yeah, Diane Keaton. If I got an upgrade from Harold Ramis (may he rest in peace) to Sam Shepard (may he also rest in peace), my ass would be staying in Vermont too."

Below the tweet is a photo of Diane Keaton and Sam Shepard holding hands while dancing. A tweet from Twitter user hellresidentNY that reads: "I'm also convinced that Bill Pullman got his seductive leaning-in technique in WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING from Sam Shepard in BABY BOOM."

Below the tweet is Diane Keaton smiling and standing in front of an open refrigerator while Sam Shepard stands in front of her.

An absolute legend whose performances always made everything she appeared in even greater.

May she rest in peace, and my condolences to her family and friends.

I say this and I mean it every single time:

I don't want ICE to be abolished.

I want ICE to be completely fucking destroyed.

After spending 43 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, evidence hidden by the prosecution reversed his conviction. Rather than finally enjoying freedom, ICE abducted him for deportation

Depraved.

I'm glad that Jenn Budd deleted the "three-armed reporter getting arrested" A.I. video, and less so that she deactivated her account.

Though I'm surprised that she didn't just lock the replies to her apology skeet to prevent further comments...like she chose to do with the A.I. video she posted.

It is bad!!!!
Its the cast tho, cuz the formula works, thats why it lasted for 20+ years. They need new ADA's, a different Captain and a wise cracking detective. Get every last one of these ppl outta here except for President Fitz!

#Arrow also premiered on The CW around the time when live-tweeting TV shows soon became a very popular thing to do on Twitter.

And as one of the people who would do this on a regular basis, getting on Twitter to tweet about ARROW with other fans every Wednesday night was so much fun.
hellresidentny.blacksky.app
Say what you will about the show in its later seasons, and about Stephen Amell, but #Arrow was appointment television that satisfied longtime DC Comics fans, created a whole bunch of new ones, and gave viewers some well-made superhero action to watch at home on a weekly basis. #TVSky 📺
