The robotaxi is going to be Musk's magnum opus; a product that never gets built, and yet is responsible for multiple fatalities
I assume the Bernie endorsement is part of why people were so quick to jump on the bandwagon, and I assume watching the GOP just ignore what would have been career-enders in any other era, on the daily, has given a lot of people "well, THEY do it"-style hangups about jumping off

Gotta jump off, tho
Hell yeah, they're finally going to have two professional teams
🚨 🗣New York is getting a new professional baseball team next year
Women’s pro baseball is becoming reality ⚾

New York, Los Angeles, Boston and San Francisco will host the first four teams in the Women’s Pro Baseball League, debuting next spring.

Former Little League World Series star Mo’ne Davis was among the hundreds who tried out this summer.
Fetterman had plenty of warning signs, but had an excellent campaign staff that was able to keep them kinda quiet until the general vs Oz.

Sinema is the one that's truly wild, though. I wasn't aware of any early warning signs (other than membership in the US's Green Party, which IS a real red flag)
I mean, I have known my wife for 35 years. If she goes before I do, I know I am gonna say and do some INCREDIBLY stupid things in the aftermath, as I come to terms with it.

I am provisionally hopeful that my stupid things won't end up in the newspaper, like this guy's, but you never know I guess
I'm going to give him some EXTREEEEEEEME benefit of the doubt here and assume his brain is flame-broiled with grief that he hasn't processed, and he is desperate for some kind of connection with a woman he misses terribly.

THAT SAID, this is not the way, my guy. He needs to talk to a professional!
imagine your partner of 55 years saying he can't tell the difference between you and your clanker imposter
The first Trump admin was historically evil and incompetent and somehow round two is orders of magnitude more of both

I actually wonder if we would have been better off if he’d just had two terms in a row, and the Grover Clevelanding is what exacerbated all of this
Gonna start seeing some “The Third Amendment protects YOU, too” signage at protests

Not quartering but close enough
One of my sillier takes is that in order to be a Politics Poster (mostly derogatory) you have to spend at least X number of hours canvassing. Everyone who does it says the same thing - you won't believe what people think - but until you get out there and do it you can never really be prepared for it
I am aware of the hurdles here but I think at least some portion of them are gonna have to get sent to the ICC. The response has to be unlike anything we have ever done

Heard about the Louvre jewel heist and my first thought was “finally, some good old fashioned normal crime”
My only complaint with DRIVE is that there are not a couple thousand more pages of it for me to read, yet.

If you dig sci-fi at all, it's an outstanding read, and even if you don't you'll still probably have a good time with it
Bluesky pals! I have a sci-fi graphic novel called DRIVE, & it's my favorite thing I've ever done! If you need a long, escapist read at the moment the entire thing is free to read, here: drivecomic.com

He's one of the few people I support sticking around on X, just because he drives the weirdos completely around the bend.
Okay, MY generation drank a ton of hose water filled with lead. What on earth is the younger generation of men's excuse

My boss: so how's our fourth quarter looking?

Me, the sales manager at the company that makes inflatable frog suits: well, you're never going to believe this, but
This aligns completely with my take on it, but is obviously expressed much more clearly because I am me and Anil is Anil
Okay, for the folks who asked: here's the majority AI view, writing up the reasonable, thoughtful view on AI that the vast majority of people in tech hold, that gets overshadowed by the bluster and hype of the tycoons trying to shill their nonsense. anildash.com/2025/10/17/t... Please share!

"God killed Charlie Kirk" is honestly not where I saw this going but I dunno let's let them cook I guess
I’m not very religious but saying God allowed Charlie Kirk to be murdered to stop Kirk from turning his back on Israel sounds kinda messed up lol
People fifty years from now: "Okay so this guy was on something called The Man Show, and then WHAT happened?!"

The recycling bins are out next to my building and as I walked by them I saw a raccoon rooting through them, which gave me a look I can only describe as "morally offended"
I at least give a little credit to the Aztek because Pontiac was stuck in a rut and had to figure SOMETHING out.

Like, they 150% failed, but they were at least trying something new!
We didn't have to go _quite_ that hard, but we were no less clear in where the line was, and everyone has respected it. Turns out having clear boundaries makes everyone less stressed about things!

I took a PS5 back in time and made Leonardo da Vinci play Elden Ring to answer the “are video games art” question once and for all but he got so scared of the opening cinematic he invented a new kind of Catholicism
You're not, but I immediately followed up that thought with, "Actually, that would solve a couple of problems"
I love that this is how i found out Mr Beast is getting into financial services.
Depositing money at the Beast With Two Banks is just asking to be screwed out of it.
I'm super happy for you, but I'm genuinely stunned that you spent any amount of time in the midwest and didn't absorb a celery stick and ranch just through osmosis at some point
I'm a popcorn guy myself, but we can all enjoy the tomfoolery in any manner we choose
