I've drawn parallels between "doesn't everyone want to be a robot?" and "doesnt every guy secretly want to be a girl?". I was clearly wrong on the latter, and I also recognize I'm likely wrong on the former too. I don't know if I -could- estimate percentages of folks who would stay stock

Sitting here realizing I have no idea how "normal" people would deal with having morphological freedom (as in, they could have whatever synthetic body they want, assume a post-scarcity civilization). How many people would convert to synthetic? How many would keep their humanoid body plan?

I just checked mine again and it had it re-enabled as well. There’s only one related option in my config that remained unchanged, but there’s also plenty more now that have been enabled without asking.
