Jenkins moved to a wall panel up the hallway and tapped at the screen.
“He’s right.”
“So, where’d all that extra space go?” Damon pushed his way past the stacks of cardboard and felt along the back wall. His knuckles rapped against the metal a few times. “Yup. Just as I thought.”
“You can’t possibly expect us to know what you were thinking of.” Lucky, and the others, watched him through the spaces between the boxes he’d just shoved between.
“It wouldn’t be appropriate for the workplace, anyway,” Damon replied.
“I think I’m starting to get your meaning, sir, and I don’t like the implications,” said Jenkins.
“I bet I like them even less,” Damon said.
“Care to fill the rest of us in?” Lucky asked.
Damon took a step back and pointed to the wall.
“That’s not a wall.”
“It definitely is,” said Lucky.
“Not a real one. It’s a false one. Well, I say it’s false. I suppose, by the strictest definition, it’s so good of a false one that it bends in on being the genuine article.”

It's quarter to 7 and USPS still hasn't come through for the day. While it's not unheard of for them to come this late, it's still pretty uncommon, and not at all appreciated when we haven't gotten mail in 3 days and I'm expecting something important that was mailed 6 days ago.

As someone who was raised Christian, whose best friend's dad is a pastor, and whose own dad became a pastor later in life, the way these people attempt to claim Jesus and Christianity while embodying the exact opposite of Christ's teachings is absolutely sickening.

I saw people saying that it was said at one of he convention panels that the price was an error and it would really be $59.99, but so far that's just hearsay. The price still being higher on Pulse doesn't inspire confidence in those reports.

Tighter Than Shoestrings

Having just set foot in Marco’s penthouse office, Éponine stopped short.
Across the room, which took up nearly the entirety of a high-rise floor, the company CEO sat behind an oversized desk, a set of chopsticks in one hand and a pad in the other.
“Oh, you’re busy.”
“No, it’s fine.”
She pointed back towards the elevator. “I can come back.”
“No, really.” He waved her in. “It’s a working lunch. Join me.”
“You know I don’t eat, right?” She shuffled towards his desk. “Or, can’t eat.”
“Yeah, sorry about that.”
“Why are you apologizing?” She settled into one of the guest chairs. Unlike most, the ones in his office kept the guest at desk height and eye level.
“Well, I’m the head of the company. Everything ultimately goes through me. And when we designed and built the, ah, the body that you now inhabit, we didn’t think about how things would be for someone who had to live in it.”
“Because robots can’t feel.”
“Right.” He set down his chopsticks. “Why worry about how something feels for something that can’t feel?”
“It has taken some getting used to. Not being able to eat, or sleep. Having a job helps, but I’m worried someday I’ll run out of things to fill my time.”
