At Thanksgiving, I mentioned that I might not bother decorating my house for Christmas this year, since it's a big hassle and I live alone so no one but me would even see it, anyway. Aghast, my mom asked, "Not even your Christmas tree?"

The tree is the biggest hassle of all.

Been feeling worn down lately, could really use something lighthearted or uplifting in my Star Trek watch-though.

If anyone wants to buy me a snow blower before tomorrow morning, that'd be swell.

I'm watching Tron Ares and so far, it's not a terrible movie. While I'm not sure a Tron movie was ever going to light up the box office, I really think it would've done better if they hadn't cast box office poison in the lead role.

It's Cyber Monday, and my book is not marked down, because I keep my books as affordable as possible all year 'round. I look out for my people. 🤜🤛

But it's still a great read and you should definitely check it out.

When they made Batman & Robin, Robin's costume was adapted from the Nightwing costume in the comics. They added a cape, tweaked a couple details, and changed the colors from black and blue to blue and red.

They made a whole-ass action figure line where, as was typical in the 90s, the main

My drive isn't huge & in the couple winters I've lived here, there have only been a handful of times each year where I've even needed to clear it. A snowblower feels like 1 more piece of expensive equipment I'd have to maintain. But every time there's a big snowfall, I curse myself for not having 1.

Everyone who orders from our bookstore gets a free whistle. Everybody! Even if all you order is a $2 used paperback, you get a whistle. It's the perfect accessory for the winter months. You know—because of all the ice.

And now someone is asking "how much speculative fuckkng [sic] is in it?" I... am not 100% sure what that means, but... wtf?
I'm aware I have a tendency to be defensive, and that I sometimes don't pick up on social cues, so I'm not sure what response, if any, to give to a comment someone left on my book ad on Reddit. It just seems to me like such a bizarre, boneheaded, and nitpicky comment about a book they haven't read.

Unfortunately had to unsubscribe from some brands I like supporting because their emails have been relentless, every single day the past few days, sometimes several times a day. Too much. I know everyone's shouting right now to be heard, but if you're emailing multiple times a day, maybe rethink it.

Always fun trying to look up information on something that was originally in another language and find out that there's no official translations for some of the names and no commonly agreed upon translation in the fandom so you've got to google everything twice (or more).
