Keir Starmer: "National renewal isn’t just moving money around, it’s completely rewiring the state.

Unlocking the potential of everyone across our country, giving power and control to our proud towns.

That’s my ambition. That’s what this Labour government is delivering."

Travelling next weekend, also concerned about this Brexit Benefit.

Thanks to Cambridge Analytica mind games & other malign forces, the helpful handmaidens Farage Cameron & especially Johnson have really screwed things up.

My elderly French father-in-law is unwell and recently moved into a care home so we try to go over every few weeks to visit. Next trip is in 2 weeks but we are watching how the new border checks go.
Thanks Brexit for helping to keeping families apart.

IMHO it has to begin with the curriculum. Enough time to truly meet those ELG and to work on them throughout KS1 and to truly embed all the basics at a suitable pace throughout Primary. Stop racing them through and thinking earlier means better. But also enough money and resource.

Farage has given up the pretence that he barely knew Nathan Gill. He can't do otherwise, given the flood of evidence to the contrary.

Here is Gill saying he's just come from having lunch with Farage on the day that Farage resigned as UKIP leader 4 July 2016?

Labour inherited flood defences in the worst condition on record, but through increased funding, 151 flood defence schemes have been delivered in their first year in power.

And across the next decade they have committed £10.5bn for the largest flood defence programme in history.

4 children in our junior school last September - 1:1, reasonable adjustments - movement breaks etc. Didn’t work. Then we created a play based curriculum set in a small separate area with continuous provision mixed with learning. So different. Succeeding and happy. Often calmest part of school!

When you come at inclusion via the early years idea of creating an 'enabling environment' then what happens is that you adapt the setting to suit the children rather than trying to adapt the children to suit the setting.

Masons, when they start upon a building,
Are careful to test out the scaffolding;

So if, my dear, there sometimes seem to be
Old bridges breaking between you & me
Never fear. We may let the scaffolds fall
Confident that we have built our wall.

For those who don’t know, the Co-op Party is an independent registered Party that’s been in an electoral pact with Labour since the 1920s. It currently has 41 Lab & Co-op MPs.

You can be a member of the Co-op Party without joining Labour (like me), or t’other way round.
