truly bizarre. dude was using a leafblower out front of his bar (for no fuckin reason) at like 9 pm. We were walking on the sidewalk and he came straight at us blowing shit around. In the shit he was blowing was a bee - which hit her right in the neck. (I pulled the stinger out and it's ok now)

I think Zohran is great and inspiring and much needed right now, but all he's doing is like the job as it's supposed to be. Starts with a set of principles and advocates for them. It's like how everyone goes crazy for Chotiner for just doing the job. Not an indictment on either of them but the rest.

i don't know how to make a feed, but I put some thought into how I think i'd design one.

posts get points:
+1 point per 1 like
-maybe 0 points for likes from accounts that could be inauthentic
-default pfp
-very small follower/following lists
-would be great if the follow for follow shit could also disqualify them

+5 points per 1 retweets
+bonus points for how close to you on the social graph the post is (more points for friend, slightly less friend of friend, slightly less friend-of-friend-of-friend
structure this as a multiplier -
mutual is 1.2x,
one-way follow/follower is 1.1x,
friend-of-friend is 1.0x,
more distant than that is 0.8x,
get more granular if that increases quality

+1 point per like/retweet for engagement on post from mutuals
-so mutuals count double for liking things

+high points for recently made, decaying rapidly at designed intervals for falloff (3 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 72 hours)
structured as both multiplier and as flat bonus
0-3 hours: +10 points, 4x multiplier on other points
3-12 hours: +5 points, 3x multiplier on other points
12-24 hours: +2 points, 2x multiplier on other points
24-72 hours: +1 points, 1.5x multipier on other points
72 hours plus: no bonus

-minus points for you having interacted with it
would be better to have a "post is stale" check for no additional replies since last seen but we'll kludge this with
-you liked or retweeted the post: 0.1x multiplier on other points

-minus points for not being a top level post
0.2x multiplier on non-top-level posts. they have to be 5x as good as a top level post to show up here.
