Hello film migration people! I have followed 60-odd of my favourite accounts from Twitter. Some have already followed me back. If you have liked my nonsense on the other place, please follow me back and maybe put the word about I'm a good chap. James Bond, movies, books, sci-fi, Star Wars, etc.

I had the lurgy last week, fatigue, headache, sore chest, easily out of breath. Didn't think to test.

Broadsheet journalists aren't likely to dig it, but franchise fans are likely to have a blast with Tron: Ares, the most coherent Tron movie yet, although that's not saying a lot.
Expect snazzy state-of-the-art visuals, deafening music and legacy call-backs. 4/5.

Dead Reckoning is such a let down. The series should have finished with Fallout.

I find CeX has less bargains these days, but the other day I managed to get The Hunt For Red October and the last Indiana Jones for six quid each. That's a saving of four quid if I had've got them in HMV.

So you buy Donald a big plane, and you get to set up a foreign military base in his country, all fine I'm sure.

Nigel Farage accuses teachers of "poisoning our kids" on race issues.

Here's a reminder of what teachers and fellow pupils at Farage's own school remember of his own views on that subject.

Some things never change...
Fancy supplement type profile of Michael La Vache MP, complete with cringeworthy photos in 'fashionable' clothes and the headline 'Bad Boys Don't Cry: Is Michael La Vache the future of free speech and conservative politics?'

Because, you know, life is cyclical. And the shite continues to float to the top. Extract of the Michael La Vache profile in which he talks a lot about having learnt from his experiences while also believing there's nothing to be gleaned from them. A full page image of Michael looking like a right cunt. With the quote: 'I think people are scared to hear the truth. Well, I'm sorry but knock, knock: it's the truth calling... or knocking.'

Ugh. Another extract of text in which Michael vows to start putting himself and his needs first. Because of course he does.

Complete with an image of him in a chunky knit sweater pulled up over his hands and mouth. If they're going for adorable, it just comes off as rigor mortis chic.

My thoughts on One Battle After Another, how Paul Thomas Anderson grapples with the revolutionary impotence of his generation, the social and racial dynamics of change-makers, and bucking the trend of avoiding confrontation with the source of America’s inequalities.

Settle in.
With ‘One Battle After Another,’ Paul Thomas Anderson Captures the Shortcomings of His Generation
Though Leonardo DiCaprio's Bob, Anderson explores limits and frustrations of a revolutionary in an America where the disenfranchisement of Black and Latino populations has grown beyond his generation'...
