That sounds very hard, but you did it!! I’m sure it triggered many feels, I hope the cheesecake and cuddles help them settle to manageable levels. I am very proud of you, it requires a lot of bravery to do something so scary and hard.

One of the most amazing things I ever experienced was the time that @chan.gallery realized that you could buy the sauce in bulk, and put it in one of those heated fountains that most people put chocolate in, and that you could dip chicken in flowing cascades of the stuff.

More writers need to watch all the seasons of HOW IT'S MADE because they for whatever reason have NO idea how the world works, or how things work, or how things work in the world, and then it shows up in their fiction and makes me yell and swear and pace and weep and rend my clothes in despair.

I was an English major. I read regularly. Only two authors have ever made me laugh out loud: Kurt Vonnegut and Tomihiko Morimi.

If you have never read Morimi and want to laugh your butt off, I cannot recommend his work highly enough.
The cover for Tomihiko Morimi's The Tatami Galaxy, which features a collage of characters and elements from the story. The cover for Tomihiko Morimi's The Night Is Short, Walk On Girl, which features a collage of characters and elements from the story.

Hello #PortfolioDay !

I'm a woodcarver from France. I'm sculpting animals, anthropomorphic ones or weird creatures.

You can find my work on my website, but also ... on DOOM II !

My DOOM II portfolio mod :

Woocarved weird creature with one eye, small tentacles as a motuh, curvy horns, a robre, and a duck on its head. Anthropomorphic octopus wearing a dress. It has a frog taking shelter on a book on its head. Its holding a basket in its tentacle arms. The base is like dark waters, where, among bulrush, a sword emerge. On the handle, a kingfisher sits. A sculpture of an anthropomorphic crow with a hooded cape. Its hand is on the pommel of its sword, wich is attached at its side. On the other arm, a squirrel is climbing. Beside its feets, a cat sits. An anthropomorphic goose weraing plate armor. It' holding a shield and a mace. On the mace, red robin sits.

Allow me to show you one of Katla's cutest features: her ear spots.
The black of a fluffy calico cat's head. The markings are quite symmetrical, with a big central black patch that starts at the top of her head and extends down her neck, and with triangles of orange on the top of her head on either side of the black. Her ears are mostly white, but they both have two little orange spots on them near the base.

In early 2019, Kitty Gang Jimin made his grand debut with soft pink hair, leather jacket, and those dangerously tight pants. With every move and purr, he clawed right into our souls 😼 Luckily it wasn’t Cat Scratch Fever… or was it? 👀 Learn more with #BAMUHCP & #BAMUNursing!

An illustration of Koya (a blue Koala created by RM of BTS). They're sleeping on a grassy hill under a bright round moon. A few clouds and Koya are illuminated by moonlight. The whole illustration is drawn using acrylic markers. The illustration is mostly a dark blue thanks to the night sky, a little bit of dark green because of the grassy hill, and a pale yellow because of the moon and the light the moon emits

I'm late but here's Jimin's stuck with you for your skyline. The beauty that is his lines is unmatched. My favourite part is when he throws his head back with a smile and spins around with arms outstretched.

Related: more access to recreational sports leagues for adults. Having fun, burning off nervous energy, building community.

Of course, we’d need more leisure time, hard to come by in an economy where you need multiple jobs just to pay the bills.

In my opinion we literally do need more clubs for adults. Secret handshakes, inside jokes, excuses to hang out with pals, do charity work.

Especially as so many people are eschewing organized religion, moving away from family— we need goofy clubs that foster a sense of belonging, community.

the illuminati, the freemasons, the rosicrucians those are all so 18th century. we need something fresh, something that appeals to millenials and gen z

One of the hardest things about so many surviving medieval texts—particularly in Arthurian Legend—is you don’t know if they were meant to be taken seriously, or if they were meant to be jokes, told to drunk people, while drunk

This is one reason Monty Python is FR one of the best retellings
scalzi.com
Most "classics" are boring as fuck to a modern reader in no small part because the context of the story is not understood by them and so many of the allusions and "inside jokes" known to then-contemporary readers have been lost in time and in translation

Mods are asleep post brassicas
My hand next to tall ass kale, the height of my balcony railing (raised in a wooden planter). It's next to a smaller kale that is stunted by being next to yet another tall ass one Manchurian cauliflower, battered and air fried on rice. With red onion, red pepper, and cilantro Red cabbage ripped up in a salad with shredded carrot, cucumber, and those hodo spicy yuba noodles I used to get at whole foods but can't find anywhere anymore Vegan dan dan noodles from Bettina Mak's recipe featuring prominently some steamed bok choy (its Brassica rapa!). Contains gardein ground round with Sichuan peppercorn and dried chili pepper, and rice noodles with peanut sauce (it's supposed to be wheat noodles but I was out)

Also, turns out it’s scary to have the battery start dying on you while you are actively driving. I do not recommend it.

Having to wait almost 2 hours for a tow truck while in the middle of a busy suburban city is weirding me out right now. I’ve had faster tow service while in the middle of nowhere before.
