I always love the series of themed little sketches in the New Yorker, but these ones of improbable reading poses from last year's fiction issue (read on recent vacation) I found especially charming. The first two absolutely remind me of how I read as a kid.

My son’s band “We’re Only Here For The Snacks” is on the front of the Globe and Mail Arts Section! Thrilling.

Their album “Missed Our Stop” is out Nov. 21 and release party is at the WECC on Nov. 23.

It seems obvious to me that with Canada's geography, a prime nation-building project would be a government owned satellite communication network. And $500 million is cheaper than most of the projects chosen so far, and there's a Canadian company ready.
