FWIW, I assumed that the "quote" was the poster's sarcastic paraphrase of a sincere letter. I only realized that it was a direct quote when I clicked on the link and read the letter itself.

If I'm reading this correctly, it looks like they had a human review the AI report, decided that there was no gun... and then sent armed police to arrest the kid anyway? I don't think you can blame AI for such aggressive stupidity in this particular case.

"The Department of School Safety and Security quickly reviewed and canceled the initial alert after confirming there was no weapon. I contacted our school resource officer (SRO) and reported the matter to him, and he contacted the local precinct for additional support. Police officers responded to the school, searched the individual and quickly confirmed that they were not in possession of any weapons."

No, that is not what it's going to look like. That's not even the correct side. It's supposed to be on the east side, and it's separated by a long colonnade. They seem to be deliberately refusing to release clear plans, but this is the best angle I could find.

We have a bridge like that, or we did for a while. The little one was privately owned and operated under a contract with the state. When it came time to renew the contract, the owner tried to play hardball, so the state called his bluff and built their own bridge. It looked exactly like this.

I never understood buying peeled garlic, until I realized that you can freeze it. Now I always keep a tub in the freezer. When I need garlic, I just take out a few cloves and put them straight into a heavy-duty garlic press.

The budget of the final season of Stranger Things is about half a billion dollars. Once it's over the world will need another "Small town losers vs cosmic horror" series and I know of one that could be made for no more than twice that amount, I think we could keep it under a bill per season
