The baby fever they said I’d have was just about pets bc you can’t change someone’s mind with hormones, only strengthen what they already want. Seeing @moviehooligan.bsky.social cradle kitten is more powerful than a baby. If people tell you’ll change your mind someday- not if that mind’s made up.

The past few moral panics have made it clear to me that children deserve bodily autonomy & education on their bodies early & often. Even if it means a kid who is hard to control (but not a danger to anyone) gets to refuse psychoactive medication. Using kids to demonize meds however, just awful.

But honestly this holiday season, any time someone is attacked, play dumb. Pretend you genuinely don't get it. Even if it's targeted at you. Make mean people lay out their reasoning for all to see. Then pretend you still don't get it. Hard to change minds at a single gathering in front of everyone.
