Jeez. What a surprise. The cost has gone up, and construction hasn't even started. Trump Plaza wound up $250M over the agreed upon budget with his partners (Harrah's) bc/ he kept making change orders and screwing w/ the project. And we don't even know who's really paying for all of it.

Terrifying. An Associated Press investigation found more than 420 bills attacking longstanding public health protections such as vaccines, milk safety and fluoride have been introduced in statehouses across the US so far this year. Around 30 bills in 12 states have already been enacted or adopted.

Epstein Ballroom. That's what it is.
Why does everyone keep calling it “The Epstein Ballroom?” Please stop repeating “The Epstein Ballroom” because it is not called “The Epstein Ballroom!” Don’t tell the news that it’s called “The Epstein Ballroom” and please don’t repost this!!!!!

It's a disturbing trend to economists: Car loans are typically the last payments that Americans are willing to miss. They're too important to their lives: Cars are essential tools to get to work, drive families and access food. https://cnn.it/3Jqi5qL

Kaitlan Collins responds to Mike Johnson's pearl-clutching about Democrats discussing "leverage" by playing a clip of JD Vance, Russ Vought, and Trump making versions of the same argument. Johnson insists it's different, because reasons.

Damn... This was really brave and perfectly executed. The way you guys planted multiple people all around the room and spoke up one at a time overwhelmed their security. This was brilliant. I respect it.💙👏😎

This. The president can't extort corporations to pay essentially taxes to him personally so that he can use that money at his personal discretion to do government work.
It flies under the radar because it is overwhelmed by the sheer repulsiveness of the physical destruction of the east wing, but there is no way that a president should be allowed to use private money to change public property. It circumvents the power of the purse.

The brutality. The corruption. The lies.

Everything is on full display — and many Americans are beginning to learn an important lesson.

Watch.

If given the chance, I'd lose my legs all over again to serve in our great military.

The leader of your party is a five-time draft dodger who has fired more Veterans than any other president in our history.

Square that circle then tell me who really hates our military.

He has as much right to demolish that building as I do. None. It doesn't belong to him. If I pulled up to the Jefferson Memorial with a backhoe I'd expect to be arrested, which is exactly what the NPS police should do to him.
What if POTUS decided to simply demo the entire White House, pave it over, and conduct all business from some other location.

Camp David. NYC. Moscow.

If he just allowed to do that? No notice? No permission?

The answer now seems to be: Sure.
