Glad to see so many others are gathering here. Here's to new beginnings. I once took a wrong turn on the way to my destination and to my delight, this was the view I'd have never seen otherwise. Here's to us all finding small things to delight us when we've lost our way for a bit.

Trump’s economy suuuuucks.
🚨 CNBC: "Announced corporate job cuts surging past 1 million so far this year, with 153,000 new layoffs just in October according to Challenger. That is the worst October since 2003."

Judge Ellis is on the bench this morning about to rule in the case about DHS's use of force in Chicago. Things are not going well for DHS — she just accused Gregory Bovino of lying under oath about his use of force.
Ellis turns to the testimony of U.S. Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino. How he denied using force against a man he tackled and said he didn't see the Rev. David Black hit by pepperballs.

"More telling," she says, "defendant Bovino admitted that he lied."

Sickening. All the people dying over the USAID abrupt and unprecedented cuts and this man is despicably rewarded. There are no adequate words.

This streak dies tomorrow

Govt staff could not survey Americans about whether they're working or looking for work in Oct, the 1st time in 934 months

This blind spot will remain forever

I'm here in Washington working with my Democratic colleagues to protect healthcare for every American, but Republicans refuse to meet with us.

I decided to attend Speaker Johnson’s press conference today to speak to him.
More of this please!

I'd love for a reporter to ask how many of these people are / were Christians? Don't ever want to hear pro-life out of their mouths again. bsky.app/profile/jayl...

Yes, they'll be next deplorables on the long pardon list of deplorables.
Yesterday's election allowed me to feel real hope for the first time since last November. To see the response across the country has caused elation.
Yes, it's going to be a painful lesson about unfettered capitalism and privatization becoming a nation (or world) strangling monopoly.
*Sorry, it was a Kmart not a Walmart.
Believe me, it was good for us to see it too. To see people are paying attention and rejecting what is happening is very hopeful.

NEW: Mississippi Democrats broke the Republican Party's supermajority in the state Senate tonight for the first time since 2011.

It came as Democrats flipped 2 Senate seats and 1 House seat.

“Mississippi just broke the supermajority—and the people have taken back their power,” the party says.

Excellent 🧵
Last night's victory speech from @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social was beautiful: "For as long as we can remember, the working people of New York have been told by the wealthy and the well-connected that power does not belong in their hands."
...and that's exactly why they all voted against us.

WOAH. Texas GOP Executive Director Jen Hall and another top party official just resigned. In her letter to party Chair Abraham George, Hall said she "cannot in good conscience continue to work this way" but doesn't elaborate. Hall and George are both longtime Tim Dunn allies. This is...interesting.
