Can’t reform this
This guy went to work today, put a mask on, kidnapped a 5 year old child, and then used him as bait so both he and his father could be sent behind bars

This is every parent’s worst nightmare
Just saw on KARE 11 that this boy was sent to a detainment facility in Texas and that his family didn't know his whereabouts for almost 24 hours.
This picture making the rounds on reddit, Columbia Heights. I'm not OK.
This picture broke me, but the description of this kidnapping by a witness who says ICE referred to this precious child as “it” as they took him away fills me with an unspeakable, murderous rage.

Only took me a few weeks but here is a list of books to introduce one to all things military. My latest⬇️

Clearly Europe doesn’t think Trump has ruled out the use of force to snatch Greenland

Now there's Q&A??!!
He is 100% threatening to use force. He still might not, but a headline that accepts this as a climb-down from force is simply inaccurate. And his word means nothing anyway.
Yes, this is my overwhelming impression listening to it. He repeatedly demanded full ownership of Greenland, and made an explicit threat to punish the Europeans if they don't give in. He then threatened to punish Canada over its prime minister's speech!
If you're only reading headlines and see "Trump Says He Won't Use Force" it will give you a misimpression of both how bellicose this speech is and how dug in he is on Greenland.
Presidents have said and done many terrible things: imperialist violence, regime change, and human rights violations. Trump unprecedented power that lets him act at speed, at home and abroad, in the digital age. Hobbes all the way down. @dandrezner.bsky.social

Is this the most dangerous, and unhinged, international speech by a US president ever? Demands Greenland (and Iceland). Threatens Canada. Trashes NATO. Makes fun of leaders. Disparages Europe's environmental goals.

Carney was right to call our current moment a "rupture"
Trump on Canada: They should be grateful also, but they’re not. I watched your prime minister yesterday. He wasn’t so grateful. But they should be grateful to us. Canada lives because of the U.S. Remember that, Mark, the next time you make your statements.

Honestly not sure why any European leader is still sitting through Trump's absolutely batshit speech. Just get up and walk out
Trump: "Canada gets a lot of freebies from us. They should be grateful but they're not. He watched your prime minister yesterday. He wasn't so grateful. But they should be grateful to us. Canada. Canada lives because of the United States. Remember that, Mark, next time you make your statements"

“You cannot live within the lie of mutual benefit through integration when integration becomes the source of your subordination.”

This speech is 🔥 and easily one of the most remarkable (and alarming) by a Canadian PM
hard to believe that the Charlie Kirk firings / pearl clutchings happened mere months ago but here we are

With Trade Deal, Canada Bets on China
For all its risks, Beijing has become a more predictable partner than the United States under Trump.

Watch that. And then tell me how we replace Schumer with her
"To date, 757,314 people – the majority children – have died from the funding cuts, according to ImpactCounter, which tracks the effect of USAID cuts via sophisticated modelling tools. That is 88 deaths every hour."
This is the most astonishing graph of what the Trump regime has done to US science. They have destroyed the federal science workforce across the board. The negative impacts on Americans will be felt for generations, and the US might never be the same again.

President Trump has posted what appears to be a private message from President Macron of France where Macron says:

“I do not understand what you are doing on Greenland.”

Just crazy that Republicans are still +9 on national security given Trump's black-bagging of Maduro and threats to seize Greenland (let alone the legacy of Iraq and Afghanistan). He's threatening to destroy NATO, for crying out loud.
