Thank you for the recipe, Giovanni!
I'll track some sourdough starter down.

Preliminary data suggests that today's
42.5C at Telfer ,Australia might be the world's highest temperature, since maximums in Iran,Senegal,Mauritania and Mexico have dropped.

This would mark the first day of the season with the Southern Hemisphere recording the hottest spot.

Exceptional heat in AUSTRALIA

In New South Wales max. temperatures yesterday >35C and today tropical nights in some areas.
In fact, the minimum of 20.4C at Mount Seaview is the highest ever recorded in October.

Next days heat wave in Western Australia with up to 44C/45C

She's refurbing a caravan for $$$ and it's important to consider functionality as well as aesthetics.
Besides: #juxtaposition

In a caravan and the living space is great but my god, the bedroom.
This is the only space to stand up in, get dried/dressed, turn around in. Feel like I'm just ricocheting about and going to put an elbow or knee through a wall at any moment. Plus photo of man's shoes in tiny beige space

Small patch of floor space with a pair of slippers in the middle.

Bloomberg research found wholesale electricity up ~270% in areas near data centers

It doesn't seem like nearly enough people are taking it seriously

One A.I. image isn't too much energy, but 5 million videos? Per day/hour/minute whatever. It's not sustainable

AI Data Centers Are Sending Power Bills Soaring
Wholesale electricity costs as much as 267% more than it did five years ago in areas near data centers. That’s being passed on to customers.

Ludicrous. The NACC is supposed to be independent but Brereton keeps working for the ADF while overseeing potential corruption investigations about it?
The Kathryn Campbell conflict wasn't enough to demonstrate how costly and damaging this is? That mistake already cost the NACC $1.2m to rectify.
Corruption watchdog head 'consulted' for ADF inspector general 11 times
Paul Brereton and Labor politicians had previously stated he had stepped away from the body and resigned as assistant inspector-general of the ADF prior to taking on the top integrity job.

It’s not the association with the gambling lobby that brought it in to disrepute, it’s pointing out the association?

Talk about getting it ass backwards. They banned the COMPLETELY wrong person.

Being evil is not bad. Only calling out evil is bad. #AusPol

Indeed. Backdoor lobbying.

Come to think of it, why even is there a Parliamentary sports club? Aren't they there to do work, you know, for us?

I wish reforms were based on what's actually required to remedy problems, rather than "deals"

@euanritchie.bsky.social, @drphilmccormack.bsky.social & I reiterate what's required in EPBC reforms to protect Australia's precious natural heritage & to address our intertwined climate & nature crises

Amazing/depressing stuff in #Estimates.

Productivity Commish Chair Danielle Wood has been muzzled by the Government.

Once a fierce critic of fossil fuel subsidies, now "not able to give an opinion" #auspol
