Hi Sally. When Weiss published a supposed expose on the death of George Floyd, a veteran criminal justice reporter showed in deep detail that the piece was not just wrong but filled with falsehoods and misrepresentations. Weiss did not retract the piece. What do you think of that?

I am so sick of living in a world where certain groups insist art & culture be re-oriented to serve their tastes and whims when their own pitiful inability or unwillingness to critically engage with and contemplate creativity clearly demonstrate that art & culture are too good for them.

The law has provision for a cognitively impaired president being removed from active duty. The problem is that people who can manipulate that person think they are more useful remaining in place, propped up so they can do their ugly work behind the scenes.

About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages

I don't think these people are that stupid. They just think their readers are. And in general, they aren't wrong. Trump's foreign policy was a shitshow, then as now, willful neglect that created vacuums that directly led to stuff that blew up after he was gone.

Why I think Trump will find some way to stop midterms from happening. Every sign anyone looks at points to Dem return to control of the House, which means appropriations. He can't have his control of the purse strings revert to the grownups.

The Office of Management and Budget sent a notification to Congress about their intent to use research and development funds to pay members of the military, two sources with direct knowledge tell NBC News.

A spokesperson for the OMB confirmed to NBC News that it plans to use the research and development funds and that there are two years' worth of funds available within the Department of Defense.

I first saw Diane Keaton sear the screen in "Looking For Mr. Goodbar." Over the years, she seemed omnipresent and always brilliant, even in movies that didn't deserve her. Watched "Godfather II" just yesterday. The office scene with her and Pacino was ... wow. An absolute badass.

So to recap, one judge stayed the National Guard in Chicago. Trump appealed, the next judge denied the appeal. I guess he now sends Roberts a WhatsApp?

"Gerrymandering, blablabla." It is still what the people who voted want. Or they wouldn't choose it. In a democracy, majority rules. The majority of America wants what it is getting. People need to accept that, then work to change it, starting with being grownups about voting.

Trump, DeSantis, Abbott, weren't appointed. They were elected by Americans who said, "We want that." They continue in office because Americans say, "Yes, we still want that." Boeberts, Jordans, Greenes -- Americans want that because it is what they are.
