It's so EARLY

The thing about cats is, their response to a danger bigger than them is usually to run away. They're pretty safe to be around if you're human-sized (and not trying to get them in a Vet carrier).

Do they all know about the kitten? Is your daughter excited?! :D

Interesting thing I noticed shopping in the Co-op - the self-service tills up here have weighted checkouts (which constantly need resetting) to make sure you're not putting extra stuff in the bag.

Visited my brother-in-law in the Cotswolds and just fancy, they don't have weighed checkouts at all.

That seems very sensible, for her as well - she needs to feel confident that it's her space before you introduce them all.

I don't know how old your kids are but I have always found cats are oddly sensitive to children's needs. Once she's a bit older I doubt you'll have problems.

You definitely want to work on the biting - cat bites can be extremely nasty because they can handle having all sorts of grim bacteria in their mouths.

For the biting, try gently blowing on her face - she won't like it but can't retaliate in kind. Also, get some toys for playing with her, so she has something else to attack.
