Mark Carney’s government cut 800 jobs at passport offices in the spring, and they just cut 250 more. These cuts mean that people will likely experience delays ahead of the holiday season. Every cut to a public service job is a cut to the services that support people in Canada.

5 provinces increased their minimum wages today. So let's celebrate this mainstay tool of labour market regulation with a few fun facts. B.C. retains its crown, holding the highest prov min wage (Nunavut & Yukon higher). Alberta now takes sole possession of last spot. #canlab /2

PSAC rallied with CUPW, UNIFOR, and OPSEU today to defend the workers who keep our communities running. PM Mark Carney and Doug Ford are working hand in hand to cut jobs and dismantle vital public services, like our postal service and healthcare.

The struggle for workers’ rights & wage fairness exists within a colonial system that creates hierarchies of power in Canada.

We continue working towards the 94 calls to action, specifically #92, to ensure that Indigenous peoples have equitable access to jobs, training, and education opportunities.
