For this week’s #printmaking class we had to make a reduction print. It was a little bit of a mind-bender planning out the process of working back to front and light to dark, but I figured it out in the end, chatter and all. 😅

Did you know library workers are an oathsworn profession? The ideals are lofty: protecting intellectual freedom, equal access, without exercising our personal judgment on materials.
That all goes to pieces without funding. They’re going to be paring back. Expect to see “refocusing”. Back to books!

Again, the first impacted are always people who need anything outside the “norm”, and that realistically means access suffers and diversity in materials suffers.
This sucks and you should be furious, if not on your behalf, then the families’ who rely on the library to procure things they can’t.
