FULL STORY HERE: Emails began flooding CDC inboxes late Friday night announcing dozens of layoffs. HR people brought back from furlough to oversee the RIFs. Disease detectives, entire Washington office, global health, injury prevention, MMWR staff among those hit.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.

When it comes to public health and outbreak response capacity, what happens in America doesn’t stay in America.

If the CDC is eviscerated it will have ripple effects the world over.

Many viruses are airborne and were in a time of global travel.

This is a threat to everyone.

Mary Shelley gets a lot of credit for creating the Science Fiction genre with Frankenstein, but I don't think anyone also talks about her creating Romantasy. Frankenstein is explicitly a monster fucker book and I think we're robbing her of her due credit here.

have been desperately looking for this old erotic Spanish comic I stumbled on almost 10 years ago called "El secreto de Frankenstein" and I'm so happy to report I finally found it

There are obvious things in greenette fandom that people are just finding out. For example, crest is yonic shaped which can allude to greml1n's gender. I'm not loud about saying "see, i told you all?!" annoying ass, but it took yall 6yrs. Reason why gremin is genderfluid not necessarily just woman.

Twt feels like im at a big party with enough variety of people and groups to interact, you can chill by yourself but you don't feel outside looking in. My experience at least

a thing i am intrigued by: some museums release public domain 3d scans of their artifacts and there are people who just upload those to steam workshops for different games. i love the idea of someone having a relationship with like 15th century vases that comes from them being free in steam
