My gallery full of literally nothing except family-friendly, SFW artwork = Permanent ban from Stripe that never gets reviewed. I made my appeal on August 20th; the dashboard still says "Appeal in Review." Censorship is a joke. We NEED support more than ever, and payment processors are killing us.

Windows 10 users in the EU and UK, you can get free Extended Security Updates for a year just by:
> Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates. Click.
Scroll down to Enrol in Extended Security Updates (or similar wording).
Click on it.
Follow prompts.
Bingo, you're good for a year.

i said this a few weeks ago, but a reminder that windows 10 being "end of life" does not mean your operating system will immediately stop working. even if the OS itself doesn't get updates, the apps you use most often (the browser.) still are. more important to have adblock + firewall these days

Got some thoughts now I've finished Kink Bingo. I had a great time, but the vulnerability of writing this smutt has exposed me to the horrors once more. Queer censorship by payment processors and that. Alongside this is the understanding that I am currently in grief.

But during all this thinking, it did hit me like… A lingering dread that’s been following me during these last few months. After having just recovered from processing grief of my attempt at entering the education sector, just collapsing in front of me due to y’know… Fascism and COVID. I hadn't processed that once again, that is happening. My ability to have a steady income from writing, keeping in mind this pursuit comes from trying to get traditional employment and essential being blocked out of THAT too, has essentially been denied by Visa/Mastercard. Another means of financial independence and it’s just been decided that I can’t do that, unless I get profoundly lucky. Some would argue that’s true anyways for creative pursuits. Lol and that’s not wrong, but I hope you understand the difference between trying then failing and just straight up being denied the ability to succeed, due to queer censorship. The only way I can guarantee being ‘left alone’ is to give my labour for free forever, which sucks ass.

That is traumatising! I mean my lot as a disabled person being banned from employment due to zero legal protection from discrimination, that’s already quite traumatic, having your few avenues for employment that’s empathetic to the Autistic experience get obliterated in front of your eyes: Traumatic. The one aspect of your labour that’s worthwhile and meaningful then also be denied as an avenue for revenue? I’ve said this but… Yeah, traumatic! But the difference is I’m STILL writing despite this, which means I’ve been able to obfuscate this grief a little.

But now I know this, it’s still hard to really know what to do moving forward. Like it’s helpful to just say that I am GRIEVING once again right now, as to understand what I need to do right now is to heal, but I honestly don’t know that this point what this could even look like. But it’s still important to know. I’m not gonna give up writing, even knowing the inevitable outcome, I can’t give up fully until I’ve pushed my luck to an absolute comical degree lmao. But it’s still important to grief for another future taken away by late stage capitalist fascism. Sucks man. All I know is that I gotta write more of that smutt for my own sake.

I develop adult video games on Steam. I can't find a bank that will actually let me withdraw my money from Steam. Can I get some advice?
Game has sold quite well on Steam. I've got almost £90,000 ready to withdraw after Steam's cut + VAT taken off.

However, it's been 2 months now and I can't find ANY bank in the UK who will let me withdraw my money from Steam.

I've been banned/refused/unable to get a business account with:

Wise
Revolut
Monzo
Monese
Chase
Starling
Nationwide
Halifax
Barclays
Lloyds
RBS

It always comes down to, "Where did you get this money from?"

"It's coming from games I sell on Steam."

"Can we see the store page?"

"Sure."

"I'm sorry, we can't do business with you at this time."

It keeps coming down to a commercial decision purely because I make adult content.

What the hell am I supposed to do? I've pretty much exhausted the whole banking system. I just want to be able to be paid for products I've sold.
