About 1/3 of Delaware’s state budget comes from corporate franchise taxes on corporations organized in the state. Most of those corporations barely do business in Delaware, but they organize there because Delaware has well-established, predictable and business-friendly laws and courts.

Unlikely. Jurisdictions compete for corporations. CA is considered one of the most hostile to business. The top corporate jurisdictions, DE, NV, TX and FL almost never follow CA’s lead on corporate law initiatives because they want to make their jurisdictions as attractive as possible to businesses.

A handful of states are preferred jurisdictions of incorporation for businesses in the US. Good luck getting Delaware, Texas or any similar corporate-friendly jurisdiction on board with these changes—their legislatures are deeply beholden to corporate interests.

I'm sure many of you have heard by now that earlier this week, IU k*lled the print edition of its student paper, the IDS. The issue that was supposed to print this week contained criticism of the Whitten regime and IUs further slide into scist control, and they couldn't allow that to happen during Homecoming, when all the rich alumni are in town.
Enter Purdue! The Purdue student paper, The Exponent, owns its own presses. Yesterday, in an act of tremendous solidarity with their biggest rival school, they printed the forbidden issue of the IDS. They then drove it to Bloomington overnight and stocked all of the IDS boxes on campus, just in time for Homecoming.
Solidarity is what makes us stronger, and solidarity will be what ultimately allows us to triumph, if we can ever truly get it together. I hope everyone has a fun, safe day if they're going out today, and I hope we can think about what acts of solidarity we can begin taking to really make this movement MOVE - beyond a permitted expression of upset into more active resistance.

I’ve seen just one counter-protester at No Kings San Diego. He’s got a Trump 2024 flag and this guy has been following him around for probably an hour playing Benny Hill and circus music.

After reading about what a SEAL team did to the fishermen who stumbled upon their failed NK raid, I don’t think the US military would have trouble finding soldiers willing to kill prisoners. I think they’d have trouble keeping others from talking about it, especially if they were in USCG custody.

Right? They already tried to murder them at sea. I guess once the Coast Guard got involved they couldn’t use their black ops guys to pull a “failed North Korea raid” and kill the survivors and dump their corpses (after stabbing them repeatedly to prevent them from floating like any good psychopath).

Friend, I’ve been a criminal defense lawyer in the city since 2004. I know what’s realistic and what’s not. I help protect others. And I’m saying from an informed perspective that people should not be paranoid about no kings protests. This is not some black bloc bullshit.
