Just a reminder that Wikipedia is the only remaining reliable source of information that right wing billionaires can't control. (Although they'll never stop trying.)

Please donate to them whenever you can. Even a little bit helps.

The Supreme Court of the United States is not a legitimate body.

More judges speak to the press (the NYT) about what a disaster the Supreme Court (specifically the shadow docket) has been - “incredibly demoralizing & troubling”; a “judicial crisis”; a “slap in the face to district courts.” www.nytimes.com/2025/10/11/u...

When Rand Paul and Marjorie Taylor Greene are making “sense”, you KNOW that shitshow of a so-called party has jumped the shark.

Voters also need realistic hope for better conditions under Dems, not just voting out failed Reps. If Dems can convince enough swing voters that Reps have worsened economics, they must also convince them that Dem policies can meaningfully improve people's lives to win votes, not just skip voting. 7/

Since the 1980s, Dems shifted away from New Deal-style liberal/left economic policies and its strong union support to a more business-focused neoliberal approach that does much less to improve people's lives economically. 8/

An actual hot take: Too many authors are afraid of editors watering down their voice or whatever and not afraid enough of editors letting you put any old slop on the page.

You want to talk about healthcare? Talk about healthcare.

“But we ar—“

No, you’re talking about tax credits, and 87% of people already stopped paying attention because of it.

Jeffries: "Republicans enacted permanent tax breaks for the wealthy, well-off, and well-connected. Permanent tax breaks. And now the nerve of these people to say to us that 'we do not have the time or inclination to address the ACA tax credits for working-class Americans'"

It’s clear: a majority of Americans want Congress to renew the ACA tax credits. These tax credits make health care more affordable for all Americans, not just those on ACA – in Maryland alone, ALL Marylanders are projected to see a 13% increase in their premiums if we do not extend these credits.

I stopped giving free political advice a long time ago, but here’s some:

“The Republican Party controls all three branches of government, and the shutdown will end as soon as they want it to.”

That’s it. Nobody cares about tax credits. Never talk about tax credits. Ever.

An Andrew Tate and Charlie Kirk fan just murdered two teenage girls. In a livestream now taken down he claimed they had made fun of Charlie Kirk's death.

This is the real world consequences of the hate and misogyny the right promotes while claiming the left is violent.
Photos of the victims Maria Niotis and Isabella Salas "Hey whatever Maria sees the pizza guy come, better think of Charlie Kirk for making fun of his fuckign death. Stupid ass clown. just remember that" "She made fun of Charlie Kirk's death on TikTok on a repost. It is morally wrong to want a computer to be sentient. If you owned a sentient thing, you would be a slaver. If you want sentient computers to exist, you just want to create a new kind of slavery. The ethics are as simple as that. Sorry if this offends

It is not surprising. They very much told us they were going to do that.

The only people who have been surprised by this administration have not been paying attention.

So for the people who are doing random pile-ons, I have known since Trump's arrival on the political scene that he would be a disaster. I was not sanguine that a second term would be good. It was always going to be terrible. It is much worse. Cutting basic science to own the libs. That's surprising.

People saying the fascism we’re seeing is unprecedented, unimaginable etc miss the larger point.

We‘re not experiencing anything new. We‘re experiencing an *expansion* of existing realities targeting Black people especially. Until we get that, we’ll miss how to fight US fascism at its core.
