I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.

Just as he was standing to leave (his minders told me he had a plane to catch) a very old lady struggled up on her walker and her daughter asked him to play again for her mother. He smiled at the old lady, sat down and played a polonaise for her.

A European ? Czech concert pianist, who was being shown around by his local minders, borrowed a roll- around piano from a man busking at the edge of a lake. He played for about 15 minutes.

USA: Mask rules are returning to Bay Area health care settings from Nov 1 as COVID, flu, and RSV cases rise.

Counties including Contra Costa, Santa Clara, Sonoma, Napa, San Mateo, and Santa Cruz will require masks for workers, and in some cases patients and visitors, through spring.
