Instead of being wish-washy and talk about trans rights being “complex”.

It’s also quite a wonderful defence of disabled people and disability rights, arguing that life holds value even if it looks different from the norm.
Like, maybe that’s obvious, but still worth pointing out I think.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that I almost teared up watching this.
It’s fucking rare to see a politician talk about trans rights like this.
It’s extremely refreshing.

The hockey ones are my faves too! I have read “Gravity”, it’s great!
If you haven’t, you gotta read LA Witt’s books, especially “Rookie mistake” and “Scoreless game”! Oh and all of Rachel Reid’s books!

Also, for some trans rep I really like “The Prospects” by KT Hoffman (baseball, not hockey tho)

It is very uncommon here, about 4 deaths per 100 000 births, but it does still happen.
My heart is breaking for her family, especially her husband who is a wonderful person and now has to take care of a newborn (and a toddler) while grieving.

Just found out that a friend of mine recently passed away. We had sort of lost touch after I moved towns, but still followed each other on social media and so on.

She was pregnant and passed away giving birth, due to unforeseen complications.
She leaves behind two kids and a loving husband.
