It will always be insane that the same people who complain about Super Bowl halftime shows not being "American" enough are allowing these folks to influence everything - even our national politics. The double standard is just exhausting. 😞

Money talks, as we clearly see from the acceptance of the billionaire tech bros who emigrated to America and are re-imagining societal structures to fit *their* views. The double standard is unbelievable, and just plain wrong.

Are we supposed to accept the theological views of a group of billionaire techbros who are already dismantling our government and taking over other aspects of our lives? Our Founding Fathers did *not* design America to be run by monarchs - or oligarchs.

Yes, it is. It's done through the same nomination and selection process, announced alongside the other Nobel Laureates, and presented at the same awards ceremony. It is 100% a Nobel Prize.

The editors of the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) were apparently fired today.

The precursor to MMWR began in 1878 to address emerging public health threats rapidly.

We are not “great” without it. We are vulnerable to threats from sporadic foodborne illness to bioterrorism.

One curious thing on this site about speaking out against the encroachment of LLMs is that inevitably you get accused of being anti-tech. I don’t hate technology. I’ve used machine learning in my own code before. But I also recognize that oligarchs are so hellbent on pushing this tech for a reason.
