Hardly surprising these two things are trending at the same time.

Maybe it’s about Russian Bribes?

Respect and fair play to all the gifted teachers who, according to Nigel Farage, are poisoning our kid's minds with race issues.
I had great difficulty teaching some of the little buggers about triangles.

Private Eye offers up an excellently scornful commentary on the relentless polling. It’s become ridiculous and has oversimplified our politics to dangerous levels of stupid and irresponsible.
SHOCK POLL:
NIGEL FARAGE WILL BE PM TOMORROW
IN an amazing poll conducted
by The Pointless Polling Company, it was revealed that voters' intentions
may well change over the next three and a half years and at present it's 100 percent impossible to guess what the next government might look like.
However, 99 percent of journalists
agree that it would be much more fun if we had an election tomorrow and everybody resigned and everything was chaos and Farage had a go at being PM, just for the hell of it, because it was so much fun when
Brexit happened and then the government kept falling every five minutes and we could write endless pieces about (cont. p94)

Jenrick is a dangerous fool

We have an independent judiciary in this country. Robert Jenrick wants puppet judges.

The Conservative Party once believed in the rule of law and our shared British values - no longer.
Robert Jenrick holds up a judges wig like a puppet during his speech to the Conservative Party Conference.

Today we remember the victims of the 7/10 atrocities, deadly ripples of which continue to engulf far too many innocents. As @laylamoran.bsky.social said last year, we must hold ALL the people suffering in our hearts. If Layla can do it, with loved ones in peril, can we ask any less of ourselves? ~AA

“It sounds like you’re gaslighting the voters” Victoria Derbyshire tells the shadow minister of something or other at the #ToryConference. Exactly what I thought about Mel Stride on the radio this morning too.

Every post from the Tory conference just makes me sad. Like watching a destitute clown begging for pennies.

In place of a speech by Victoria Atkins, the shadow Defra secretary, she is holding a “rally for the countryside” in the main exhibition hall. Her Union Jack jacket is back from the dry cleaners again.

We all know that there are some Brits who use our flags as a rally cry for Fascism, white supremacy.

When they hoist the flags it is not to celebrate but to intimidate.

Those who pretend that its not happening are enablers.

As usual Ferrari on LBC stirring up division in the wake of the terrorist attack.

Makes a point that the Muslim Mayor of London won't answer his call, knowing that Khan boycotts his show because of Ferrari's islamaphobia.

What message is Ferrari sending - again.

Sadiq Khan, "At this time of year when Jewish people across the world are commemorating Yom Kippur, it's incredibly worrying, that we've seen this awful attack on a synagogue in Manchester"

On Yom Kippur many Jewish people in Britain have their phones off to mark the holy day.

As it ends at 723pm, some will hear the tragic Manchester news for the first time.

At that time, please join many of us to send a message of solidarity to British Jews. Thanks Together coalition for proposing.
To everyone in Britain's Jewish Community: you are not alone.

We will not let hate or those who spread it win.

My thoughts are with everyone affected by the attack in Greater Manchester today.
I’m horrified by the violent attack at a synagogue in Manchester.

I have been in contact with the Mayor of Greater Manchester and the Home Secretary, and would like to reassure Londoners that the Met Police are stepping up patrols in Jewish communities and synagogues across London.

My thoughts are with all those affected on the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, Yom Kippur.

London stands ready to help in any way we can.

My thoughts are with all those affected by the horrific attack on a synagogue in Manchester this morning and with the Jewish community on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year.

My thanks to our emergency services for their response.

Part of the burden of Jewish history is being touched, and proud, that the British police rushed to the site of this atrocity and that the reaction of the British prime minister was to send police reinforcements to synagogues. For millennia, this was not so. It is not taken for granted.

Perhaps media is waiting for the Tory Party Conference to cover the demise of the Conservatives because there is radio silence at the moment…

Completely agree. One of them admitted he was in it to have “legal scraps”. How the hell did he get through training?! How does any crime get solved?

Reform’s Yusuf says Starmer is “inciting violence” and “demonising” Farage with his comments and will be responsible if anything happens? So who is responsible for all the hate following Farage calling Muslims a “fifth column”, BLM “The Taliban”.? Chinese “c****y” & referring to the “Jewish lobby”?

I wonder if and when the #BBC will take a deep, thorough look at the past, the ideology and associations of the leader of #Reform? If we can’t rely on our national public service broadcaster to scrutinise in detail a person who wants to be our PM, then what’s the point of defending it?

Social media activity also shows that Gill may have held pro-Russian beliefs for longer than the investigated period.

He posted in 2015, one year after the first Russian invasion of eastern Ukraine. "It's the EU that has created the 'new enemy' of Russia by courting the Ukraine."’
