If he doesn’t bring them back, the government will eventually not be able to pay its bills and the global economy will collapse, so there’s that.

The last I heard, they were targeting around November 1 to try and end the shutdown. Hoping for sooner, but we’ll see.

I haven’t seen any, but I don’t think the Curator’s Office would have allowed anything to happen to the artwork and furnishings - they’re responsible for maintaining all of that, and they take that job very seriously.

They’re leaving whether they want to or not.

The Secret Service will literally drag him out of the building if they have to - not that I expect them to with his current health.

I know the GOP won’t push back on him *now* but they are very much looking forward to getting rid of him, too. 1/2

This is a question I get a lot, both here and on Patreon.

It’s important to understand that one term from a Dem POTUS isn’t going to fix everything they’ve broken. We’re going to have to be patient and give Dems some grace (and some consecutive wins)

World standing can start to fix in one term.

The reason they’re trying to break everything so fast is that they know they’re likely in for a historic loss in the midterms (even with their current redistricting bullshit).

Winning state and local elections and getting a House majority (at minimum) is our priority right now.
