I teach kids to read. I feel sad or occasionally medium-happy about the Seattle Mariners. I get baffled and confused by pop culture but I try to be a good sport about it. I tell the same annoying stories and jokes over and over if you know me in person.

I was doing kind of ok, but Julio’s anguish hit me hard in the mom-heart, where all the pain comes from seeing children hurting and feeling helpless to do anything about it. I’m just so sad.

That SUCKS. Fun fact, the entire theme of my father in law’s funeral was shaming my partner for disappointing his dad by not accepting Christ and so forth, and how sad his dead parents were when they died because they won’t see us in heaven. Guess what, that did not move the needle for us.
