BookSky wouldn't exist without my underpants and I think that's nice.

If you test positive for #HIV, treatment is highly effective, and most can expect to live a long, healthy life.

Early diagnosis can be lifesaving, so please get tested regularly if you’re sexually active.

Visit the NHS website to check your options: https://t.co/rvJOa6bo28 https://t.co/TxoVjMSA1n
Did you know? More than half the people in the UK living with HIV are now over 50. Thanks to testing and treatment, people can live long, healthy lives.

Thank you so much for posting that! What a lovely, lovely band they were. One of the main reasons why I still think the music I heard in my mid-teens has never been bettered in the subsequent 45 years or so 🙂

The Jarrow Crusade, in which 200 unemployed men marched to London calling for government intervention to restore jobs, began on this day 1936. Unsuccessful at the time, but helped to shape postwar attitudes to employment and social justice.

Chelsea's coach charging down the touchline to join the celebrating players? Buttock-clenchingly embarrassing. There are clubs as bad or worse than Chelsea, but as Terry Collier pointed out 50 years ago, they epitomise everything awful about modern football.

Many thanks for this - it was so long ago I'd forgotten I had and I never got an answer. But that seems clear and - at least to me - exactly the right approach.

So it's hard to see a downside to banning it then? I get that there are other better priorities (so I vote Green not Labour) but I can't see why we should not be pleased about this.

So Labour are going to lift the two child benefit cap. Wonderful, obviously. But why - after you said in opposition it was evil - go through a year of pain when you say it's too expensive to junk, before junking it, and thus getting slammed again for being weak? Extraordinarily bad politicking.

My comfort read at times of stress. First read the original volume in (I think) early 1980, read each of them so often, but despite the welcome familiarity every time it's a treat. Douglas Adams was a great writer.

Dear parents - Yes you can give your sick child paracetamol if they’re >3 months old. It’s an excellent painkiller. It brings down a high temperature. It’s one of the safest drugs available. You are right to want to soothe your child’s distress. Evidence supports your good parenting. Be confident.

While working at the office, I often put one arm of my glasses in my mouth and let them hang there, just to make me feel like Roy Scheider when he was reading the book sbout sharks in "Jaws". I'm 65.

CCTV is not 'everywhere' just because it creeped you out in London, but I get your drift. I don't mind ID cards these days and if voluntary might well get one, but would object if we were all forced to carry them. That feels totalitarian.

Or if journalists actually asked questions? And kept asking them until there was an answer.

For example: without the ECHR, who will be responsible for overseeing the safeguarding the rights of the vulnerable? In care settings? Those without capacity? Those under Section?
