If only he had resigned from the university in 2006. He would have saved the university a lot of shame and embarrassment. He resigned from the presidency but remained at the university. He is unfortunately still a professor at Harvard. I would think the NYT would be more careful about facts.

But unfortunately still in at Harvard.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Harvard University should sever ties with Larry Summers, the school’s former president and one of its most prominent faculty members to hold Summers accountable for his intimate friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Thank you!
When we wrote our book on children of immigrants in NY we said they would inherit the city. Tonight one of them did!

When this happened I was stuck in Dallas overnight because of a plane cancellation. When I called home and told my young daughter I was staying overnight in Texas, she said "Mommy please don't do that, the vice president is shooting people in Texas".

This post and podcast from the substack Eating in America is on the giant Food and Drug Administration loophole that allows the food industry to put toxic food on our plates without oversight or even our knowledge. Its really outrageous.

Two Naval Academy faculty members have resigned, and 18 more have taken early retirement. One was offered a place of honor at the annual dedication parade. He declined, telling the academy’s superintendent:

Pope Francis was a good man. I had the honor to meet him at a Vatican conference on climate change. He led the way on two issues I care deeply about: support for migrants and addressing climate change. The world feels even heavier today without his leadership.
Our research shows that ending birthright citizenship "would cause serious harm…to the entire United States."

It is my honor to join with 95 other social scientists, all of us specialists in US immigration, in signing this new Amicus Curiae brief.

I also signed this brief. It is an excellent summary of the research on the benefits of birthright citizenship.

There is a lawsuit that I have seen advertised against Harvard saying it was against the law to pay us monthly and we could be owed damages. I dont understand it. Did the university tell you about the deductions coming every pay period? Thanks for this heads up.

Congratulations Matt. Its a great paper!

One of my earliest memories is of being very sick with the measles when I was 5 years old in 1963. My mother told me it was right before the vaccine was available. In 2025 a child has died from measles and others are suffering because of ignorance and deliberate anti-science propaganda. Shameful.

Republicans are too chickenshit to hold town halls. Shocker.

Here’s an idea: Democrats, hold town halls in Republican districts.

Dear Democratic Leaders: here’s a free idea, send members of congress into the buildings where Elons people are and see what they’re doing. Dare them to stop you.

*Court injunction protecting USAID
*Dems demand hearings on Musk's role
*Someone introduce articles of impeachment
*Dem officeholders go to USAID offices with USAID workers
*Refuse to conduct any more Senate confirmations until this is resolved

1/ OK, Democratic members of Congress in the US Senate. It’s time for some tough love.

I am aware your pollsters and consultants tell you things like “the American people want us to work together” and “ focus on prescription drug prices in the economy.”
