Read the argument today that people should try to influence the narratives on the other website rather than abandon it.

I respect the view but - you're not influencing anyone.

Legacy media views throttled to death. Someone gave this example.

That isn’t self defense, it’s an angry execution.

So, is the Minister a liar, or merely incompetent?

If he knew, then he lied. If he didn't know, then his special advisor and press secretary approved this without his knowledge (which also raises the question as to their competence!)

A lovely poem by Brendan Kennelly to reflect on as we settle into the new year! Who remembers Brendan’s famous delivery of this poem on the Late Late Show in 1997?

Was that Brigid Davis?

Look what was in my postbox-delighted to finally get my hands on this book, & to be among the amazing contributors. ‘The stained and bloodied cloths of Ireland; a material culture view of Irish shame, oppression, morality and repression’. I love the cover image #speirgorm #irishhistory #irishwomen

Jfc, this looks like the gov really softening their stance on CSAM.
If the worlds richest man is okay to do it and MM is okay to continue using the site, then that sort of looks like a change in gov policy to csam
My word.

The Taoiseach, in China, says "platforms can be misused and abused or they can be used for positive reasons as well..." and says that should be considered carefully "before jumping to conclusions" on whether it's appropriate for the Government to be on X.

One thing about all of this is: if the line is not here, at the mainstream, industrial-level creation of CSAM, where is it?

Musk by his own mission statement is out to smash societal norms, cut “empathy” from the West, demolish the EU…

What is next down the tracks for him, for X, if this isn’t it?
