I feel like this theory also explains why the “Trump is weird” approach that Walz hit on last year was so effective and why everything fell apart once the consultants got involved and told him to act normal.

Just for example I don't think my mom was JUST ASD, she definitely was also a higher functioning variety of BPD due to the horrible childhood. But also, her rule following manifested as being extremely careful about looking prim and "not making a scene," and I had severe meltdowns in public.

My working theory is that most Grievance Parents ARE ASD-1, they've spent their whole lives with the game in "hard" mode and have a bit of complex trauma and codependency issues that often go with it, then they get a more visibly disabled child and boom! A menace is born.

In the immediate aftermath of Charlie Kirk's murder, I saw a fair amount of speculation as to whether or not we would see a "Charlie Kirk Effect" in new voter registrations. It's still too early to fully answer this question, but there's not much evidence of it, as of now.

Of all the news in this NYT survey of sitting federal judges - incl 47 of them think the SCt is mishandling its emergency docket - maybe the biggest is that 65 sitting fed judges (37D, 28R), folks circumspect for a living, responded to a NYT survey. Stunning. And a sign that something is very wrong.

Bystander filming asks man for his name. ICE agent lies and says he’s not allowed to speak to him “by law” and another says “We’ve arrested American citizens for being too close…If he gets any closer, put him in cuffs.”
