i know in some silent hill games the protagonist has been trapped in the silent hill dimension (my theory is it's mormon hell) for awhile but don't remember, and I like the idea of a little girl getting trapped so long she just becomes reflexively good at souls combat

Other than the obvious eugenics, I think one of the reasons acknowledging that neurodivergence is actually a normal part of humanity is that it has led to people questioning everything from ableism to child rearing practices to education and even how society functions as a whole.

i think i just found out how to schedule posts on bluesky
numb.comfortab.ly
Had to reboot into Windows to do a thing, and made a couple of Bluesky posts from there. Posts were getting zero interactions, I couldn't understand why. Turned out the system clock was wrong, and I was making posts into the past.

Windows, man.

Found this in a 1981 Conan the Barbarian comic book. I salute you across the gulf of time, Horny Enough to Cut Out a Newspaper Ad Kid.
Ad for Tarzan the Ape Man starring Bo Derek and Richard Harris, with the line “The most beautiful woman of our time in the most erotic adventure of all time” and art of Derek in a straw bikini swinging on a vine against a white background

I actually really enjoyed TRON: Legacy. Not a masterpiece, but it had people in black skinsuits driving cybermotorcycles while Daft Punk played. I don't know what the point of movies is if that's not a good thing.

Was just at a neighborhood school at dismissal. Hundreds of people with whistles surrounding the school and stationed down every block making sure ICE doesn’t snatch anyone. The same is happening at all the schools around here. I love my neighborhood and I love Chicago.

is it not weird that every day there’s a new video of anonymous masked men having the time of their lives beating/shooting/disappearing people and the dem response from the top down is “republicans want to double your health insurance premiums”

I do not endorse the evils of listening to music, but you should read Juno's article.

“I got into blues in my late teens. I knew about Robert Johnson from the bands that covered him. And when I heard him, I thought it was OK. Then I heard Son House’s a cappella song “Grinning in Your Face” [from the 1965 Columbia album Father of Folk Blues]. That was a transformative moment. There’s nothing there, just that voice. And what he was singing made so much sense to me.”

gonna take this opportunity to say explicitly/publicly that I am absolutely not suggesting violence as the alternative to nonviolent protest. 👍

I truly believe that the root of it is a desire to engage with queerness while being afraid of what that actually means. The idea that Taylor will eventually reveal herself as queer, in the Gaylor imaginary, will own the cishets so bad that Gay Wins Forever.

and you don't have to be an outsider!
mbhare.bsky.social
Oh, primarily. But they're not very smart and they need as much ammo as possible, because they know their audience won't check anyway.
mbhare.bsky.social
oooooo that's INFURIATING
mbhare.bsky.social
and yet I looked at the gaylor tag and it's still hoppin'!!!! somehow??
mbhare.bsky.social
I've got no hate in my heart for the humble Gaylor. more like...you don't need to do this, y'know? you can still enjoy Taylor Swift while also listening to artists who embrace queerness and discuss it openly.

what's stopping you? this isn't a rhetorical question, I mean it. think about this.
mbhare.bsky.social
how are Gaylors still around.

look I swear to God there are actual queer women making music out there. they exist!!!! easy to find!!!!
